ABOUT

Space Foundation Discovery Center reopened to the public in June 2024 after a $3 million renovation and expansion of their decade old space in Colorado Springs, CO.

GH Phipps, in partnership with RTA Architects, led the ambitious seven-month project that introduced state-of-the-art flooring and electrical system improvements, redesign of the Lockheed Martin Mars Robotics Laboratory and the Northrop Grumman Science Center, which houses the Science On a Sphere® display system, and construction of eight new exhibits for hands-on discovery, the Drone Zone, and the Boeing Additive Manufacturing Space Laboratory.

Space Foundation is dedicated to advancing STEM education and creating a space that fosters innovation. The Discovery Center serves as a hub for students, educators, and the public to explore and celebrate the wonders of space and science.
