Located on the Rio Grande Hospital campus in Del Norte, CO, the rural hospital now offers an 8,400 SF Wellness Center with services based on the Blue Zones concept of living. Four rooms dedicated to connecting with community, nutrition, mindfulness, and movement demonstrate the care facility’s cutting-edge approach to prioritizing health and wellness and preventing the need for hospitalization. The Wellness Center features a large community hall for events, full kitchen, lounge, garden meeting room, fitness studio, and quiet rooms.
Adjacent to the Wellness Center are four guest cottages–two 603 SF one-bedroom suites and two 705 SF two-bedroom suites–to accommodate families of patients at Rio Grande Hospital, each themed after a Blue Zone country.
