GH Phipps was pleased to contract with the High Plains Library District once again to provide pre-construction services and general contracting for the Fort Lupton Public & School Library.
Built from the ground up, the new Fort Lupton Public & School Library created a standalone library building allowing the existing space that the Library occupied within Fort Lupton high school to be vacated for use by the RE-8 School District. GH Phipps was brought on to the team early in the design process and worked collaboratively with Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture, Wember, and the Fort Lupton Library through right-sizing the project, programming of the spaces, and driving towards the budget.
The new 14,500 SF building, completed in 2023 and located at 370 South Rollie Avenue, includes space for book stacks and shelving as well as a large multipurpose room with community access, collaborative makerspace with 3D printers and a variety of other tools, quiet reading room, two study rooms, computer lab, and outside children’s reading area.
