The 96,000-square-foot Inspire Elementary School is a two-story building housing 800 students. The school is complete with a fully functional commercial kitchen, a large gym, multiple art rooms, and three playgrounds. Denver Public Schools hopes to one day expand this campus and the curriculum to serve students through 8th grade. The school’s main entrance is the heart of the building, with two-story curtain walls on the east and west sides, with a wide-open library design that allows the students to sit on stepped seats. Each wing of the building also has versatile breakout spaces allowing teachers to utilize multiple spaces and work collaboratively with the other teachers in the pod.
