Net Zero Project

This project entailed the renovation and addition to the Tutt Library; a modernization project designed to adjust the library to the school’s Block Plan and to help pave the way to CC’s Path to Net Zero in 2020. The next wave of campus improvements were designed to implement sustainability efforts and the school’s commitment to 100% Carbon Neutrality. The project included adding 26,000 SF to the library and demolition of the 1980 Tutt South addition. A 9,700 SF fourth level will also be added over part of the original library. The 63,000 SF renovated library will house a new Center for Immersive Learning and Engaged Teaching, has a geothermal field augmenting the mechanical system, adds a café with workspaces and outdoor terraces for outdoor study areas. The new facility adds lots of windows and doubles the study area capacity. The existing design has all exposed structure, so access flooring was added to accommodate wiring.

In short, your project has won a very prestigious, hard-earned honor.
