Case Study: DSG Center at Lincoln

Challenge: During pre-construction on Center at Lincoln, GH Phipps’ team of experts with the true builder mentality noticed that time and money could be saved by considering other material options for the building’s structural and enclosure design.

Solution: The GH Phipps team recommended that instead of the original material, the client should use either precast, steel or brick veneer.

Exceptional Building Experience: While this change did not change the hard costs, this substitution resulted in the project being completed 6 weeks earlier than originally planned and saved the client a total of $80,000 dollars. Using Lean Construction principles to guide GH Phipps’ team decisions, we are able to reduce building time, risk and improve the financial return for our clients.
