After graduating with a degree in construction management from Colorado State University, Mike began working with GH Phipps as an Estimator in our Colorado Springs office.
Then, after getting married in 1988, Mike was transferred to the Denver office and continued to work in preconstruction and eventually in project management. In 1984, Mike left GH Phipps to work for a competitor only to eventually return to GH Phipps in 2002.
Upon Mike's return, he worked as a Project Manager. In 2012, he moved into business development as the Director of Healthcare Services focusing on healthcare projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming. In early 2016, he was named Director of Healthcare Operations.
“Construction is a demanding profession, and the day-to-day grind of the industry can tend to be overwhelming at times. At GH Phipps, we recognize that in what we do every day, so we strive to make building a building an enjoyable experience for everyone we work with. There always will be challenges during a project, but how those challenges are handled will determine if the project was a success and a rewarding experience. At the end of the day, you don’t want to take the project home with you every night. Working for GH Phipps provides that balance between work and home, and hopefully that balance is shared by our clients. GH Phipps is a great company and a great place to work.”
Mike lives in Highlands Ranch with his wife Kim and daughter Alexandra; son Zachary is a freshman in college.
