After graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Construction Management, Chris joined GH Phipps in 1988 as an Assistant Project Manager on the Children’s Hospital Child Health Center project. With the exception of a five-year stint in preconstruction, most of his career has been spent in operations serving in numerous capacities, including Senior Project Manager and Operations Manager. Throughout the years, Chris has developed a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from K-12 and Higher Ed, to Technology, Healthcare and Religious facilities.
As a Vice President, Chris serves on the executive management team, and has oversight of GH Phipps’ Concrete Services and the Sustainability and LEAN initiatives within GH Phipps. On select projects, Chris serves in the role of Project Director working closely with our clients and our project teams to ensure excellence in delivery of our construction services.
"The greatest thing about being a part of GH Phipps is that we build buildings that count, that make a difference in the lives of our clients and our communities. I am very fortunate to be part of a company that gives people the opportunity to grow and reach their potential. The highlight of my project management career was being part of the team that built the 1st LEED Certified hospital in the world, Boulder Community Hospital, as well as the Platte Valley Medical Center."
In his spare time, Chris enjoys playing golf, watching sports, spending time with his family, and the outdoors.
